The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the 12^th APT Policy and Regulatory Forum in Bangkok, Thailand from 21 to 23 May 2012. The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of the Royal Thai Government.

The APT Policy and Regulatory Forum is one of the most important regular high level events of APT. The Forum was be attended by senior officials from the ministries and the regulatory authorities. It also addressed key regulatory and policy issues of interest and concern to the Asia Pacific region considering the worldwide trends in the telecommunication/ ICT sector.  As usual, the PRF-12 also included special sessions for the Business Dialogue where the Affiliate Members of the APT played a leading role. The Business Dialogue provided a platform for candid exchange of views between regulators and industries on key issues of the industry that needs the attention of the regulators.
