Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and ITU organized a Workshop on the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) in Bangkok, Thailand from 6-8 February 2012.

This workshop was arranged as proposed by the 2nd APT Preparatory Meeting for WCIT-12 held in Manila, Philippines from 28-29 October 2011and subsequently approved by the 35th Session of the Management Committee, to provide further information about the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) and the process for preparation for the 2012 World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12).

The Workshop provided participants with the opportunity to exchange views and have a better understanding of discussions and issues related to the ITRs and of proposals to the WCIT-12.
