The 13th Meeting of the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators’ Council (SATRC-13) was held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 18 to 20 April 2012. The meeting is organized by the APT and hosted by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) of the Government of Nepal.

The SATRC meetings are held annually to discuss and coordinate regulatory and other related issues in the area of telecommunication and ICT that are of common interest of the South Asian sub-region. The meeting will be attended by the heads of telecommunications Regulatory Authorities of SATRC member countries and designated senior level officers.

The 13th SATRC meeting discussed and decided on policy and regulatory issues that are identified by its three working groups.  The meeting included sessions for Industry-Regulator Dialogue that will facilitate the telecom / ICT industry to put forward issues of interest to the regulators.
