The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the Seminar on Progress in the APT for the year 2016 (SPA-16) on 28 November 2016 in Nadi, Fiji. The Seminar was held in conjunction with the 3rd Meeting of Working Group of MC on APT Legal Instruments (WGMC-3) held on 28 November 2016 and 40th Session of the Management Committee of the APT (MC-40) held from 29 November to 2 December 2016 at the same venue. All events are hosted by the Ministry of Communications of Fiji.

SPA-16 discussed the progress made in the implementation of the APT Work Programme in 2016 and any other issues including new proposals from APT members.
