Virtual/Online Meeting

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the Meeting of the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators’ Council (SATRC) Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services on 29 September 2021 virtually. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Asia-Pacific, the 21st Meeting of SATRC (SATRC-21) approved the extension of implementation period of SATRC Action Plan Phase VII (SAPVII) until 2021 prior to SATRC-22 and decided to organize the postponed events under SATRC Action Plan Phase VII at the respective venues in 2021. However, given the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the Asia-Pacific, APT Secretariat in consultation with the Office Bearers, considered that the meeting will be organized virtually.

The Meeting of the SATRC Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services was a part of the activities of SATRC Action Plan Phase VII which was adopted by the SATRC-19. The objective of the meeting was to conduct the Working Group activities on the Work Items assigned by the Council. This meeting will be the third meeting of this Working Group under SATRC Action Plan Phase VII and is expected to finalize the Reports on the Work Items assigned to the Working Group.
