The 23rd Meeting of South Asian Telecommunication Regulators’ Council (SATRC-23)

APT will organize the 23rd Meeting of the SATRC (SATRC-23) from 14 to 16 November 2022 in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran with hybrid format (both physical and virtual/online attendance through Zoom meeting). The meeting will be hosted by Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Islamic Republic of Iran.

The SATRC meeting is held annually to discuss and coordinate regulatory and other related issues in the area of telecommunication and ICT that are common for the regulators of SATRC Member countries. The meeting will be attended by the Heads of telecommunication regulatory bodies and senior level officials of SATRC Member countries as well as high-level representatives from industry.
SATRC-23 will consist of following features:

  1. Regulators’ Roundtable: A roundtable among the Heads of Regulators of the SATRC Member countries to discuss and share insights as well as experience on important regulatory issues.
  2. Regulator-Industry Dialogue: A dialogue among SATRC Members and industry representatives to facilitate the exchange of views on the challenging issues of regulation and ways to overcome the challenges collectively.
  3. Business Dialogue: A session for industry representatives to bring up the contemporary telecom/ICT related regulatory issues from the industry perspective.
  4. Sharing Best Practices and Regulatory Experiences: Sessions where SATRC Members will share their policy and regulatory best practices and experiences on aspects of new and emerging technologies to support the development of digital transformation, digital innovation and digital economy.

For both physical and virtual/online attendance, registration can be done online at, preferably by 17 October 2022 for making necessary arrangements. Please indicate in the registration form whether your delegate will attend in person or virtually. Only the registered participants are entitled to join the meeting. APT Secretariat will provide detailed information to the registered participants prior to the meeting. The administrations/organizations who wish to submit contribution(s) on the agenda items should prepare their contribution(s) in Microsoft Word and/or PowerPoint, English version and send it to [email protected] for appropriate documentation.
