The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the Training Course on Preparing for International Conferences (TCPIC) 2019 from 18 to 21 March 2019 at the APT Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand.

This training course aims to provide young government officials from all APT Members across the region with a set of basic knowledge on international conferences on telecommunication and ITC and skills for negotiation as well as opportunity to have hands-on experience in the decision making process through various lecturers and actual participation into role play exercise (Mock Conference). The lectures will be delivered by regional and international experts, those who are closely associated with the activities of APT, ITU and other international meetings.

Through this training course, participants would gain: Basic knowledge of structure of international conferences; Basic understanding of major international negotiation frameworks related to ICT field; Understanding of basic set of skills for negotiation; Basic understanding of the theme of the Mock Conference (It is Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) this year); and Actual experience of developing proposals and negotiation.
